Liverpool have identified Miralem Pjanic as the man they want to
replace LA Galaxy-bound Steven Gerrard. The Reds have made contact with
Roma over a summer move and are ready to pay in excess of £23 million to
land the Bosnian.
In case that Tolga Cigerci doesn't get fit quickly, Hertha BSC
consider a move of Tolgay Arslan from Hamburger SV to strengthen their
midfield. His contract at HSV expires at the end of the season.
Olympiakos have made a bid to take Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli on loan for the rest of the season.
Arsenal are considering a summer move for Petr Cech. Jose Mourinho
will allow the goalkeeper to chose his next destination at the end of
the season.
Manchester City are confident of keeping hold of James Milner,
despite interest from Liverpool. The midfielder has yet to sign a new
deal with the club but the champions believe he will stay at the Etihad.
Tom Cleverley is set to join Everton in the summer. The midfielder
will snub Aston Villa, who are keen to make his loan move permanent, and
instead head to Goodison Park.
Luis Suarez's future at Barcelona looks uncertain following the
departure of Andoni Zubizaretta and with the forward coming under
pressure having only scored three times since his move from Liverpool.
Newcastle are planning a new deal for midfielder Moussa Sissoko and
have no plans to sell him in January despite interest from Arsenal and
PSG.
Chelsea are willing to offer Lionel Messi a six-year deal. The Blues
are willing to meet his £200m buy-out clause and meet his wage demands.
