Amaju Pinnick has no plan for Super Falcons, says Moses Bako

The female football advocate has lashed out at the Nigeria Football Federation following their lack of attention to the Falcons who will be featuring at the Fifa Women's World Cup

Amaju Pinnick has no plan for Super Falcons, says Moses Bako Chairman of Save Female Football in Nigeria, Moses Bako has revealed that the new Nigeria Football Federation board has got no plans for the Super Falcons.
According to him, the NFF has failed to consolidate on successes recorded by the women national teams in 2014 which saw them produce the African Women Player of the Year, Youth Player of the Year as well as the Women national team of the year at the Glo/Caf awards held earlier this year.
He also expressed his disappointment over the inability of the football house to pay attention to the Falcons who will be playing at the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup in Canada as well as qualifiers for the All African Games and Olympics qualifiers.
Nigeria’s group D World Cup opponents, Australia have resumed camp on January 12 and two-time winners USA have been on a 21-day training camping since January 5 in California while Sweden have played against Norway and Scotland in grade A friendly games.
"Sincerely, I don't think [Amaju] Pinnick has any plan for women football. Nigeria enjoyed great success from our women teams in 2014 and Oshoala stood out with her individual performance and awards," Bako told Goal.
"Though, I don't have problem with the early camping of the Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles and U-23 male national teams ahead of their continental competitions this year, I expect the NFF, if they really have intentions to achieve bigger success in 2015 to have given more attention to the Super Falcons who have various international competitions ahead of them.
"Imagine, the girls are yet to be rewarded for the glory they brought to the country in 2014 and still don't know when they will be called to camp. We heard Coach Edwin Okon had submitted his programmes since, but nothing is heard from the NFF, he continued.
"I'm a big fan of Pinnick, but his failed promises to the women teams show he has no plan. It is shameful after we all know how tough the group Nigeria is placed in, the NFF are not even talking about the Super Falcons let alone of coming out with their plans.
"As a group, we are not pleased with the situation and want to voice our displeasure over the NFF's failure to call our players to camp and arrange grade A friendly matches for them,” he concluded.
The seven-time African Women’s Championship winners will face Sweden, Australia and the United States of America in the 2015 edition of the Fifa Women’s World Cup which holds from June 5 to July 6.
