After missing the start of pre-season, the Brazilian legend has returned to the Mexican club on time in a bid to avoid any further issues
Ronaldinho returned to Mexico on Friday almost three weeks after Queretaro’s pre-season got underway.
The 34-year-old Brazilian superstar had been the subject of speculation about his future, despite signing a two-year deal with Gallos Blancos in September.
Queretaro sporting president Joaquin Beltran stated earlier this week that Ronaldinho’s future at the club was in doubt if he didn’t arrive in the city by Friday.
The former Barcelona star is expected to undergo his pre-season medical examinations on Saturday and then join up with the squad, which started training in early December.
The former Barcelona forward last played on Nov 23 and struggled for fitness in his first season in Mexico. The upcoming Clausura 2015 begins for Queretaro on Jan. 11 away at Pumas.
