The Italian says there is no question of the Wales star leaving and is adamant their defeat to AC Milan has done nothing to spoil 2014
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti insists Gareth Bale remains one of his most important players and will not be sold.
The Wales star has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United in recent weeks but stressed on Tuesday that he has no desire to quit the European champions.
His head coach has now underlined the 24-year-old’s importance to his plans and claims his future has never been in question.
“He’s one of our most important players and he won’t be leaving. There are no problems, rumours or questions,” he told reporters in Dubai.
Madrid were beaten 4-2 by AC Milan in a star-studded friendly clash on Tuesday but Ancelotti says the defeat was meaningless and will not spoil what has been a stellar year for the club.
“This defeat doesn’t hurt at all. We’ve had a week to prepare, physically we’re OK. It’s helped us to recover our rhythm after a week of holidays,” he continued.
“We did what we had to – we made an effort in which everyone had 45 minutes. Now we’ll rest for a day and then have two to prepare for the game at Mestalla [against Valencia].
“We’re very happy to have finished this fantastic year. It’s good for Milan, who played well and we didn’t, and that’s that.
“You cannot say this defeat changes what we’ve done in this year, of course not.”
Real Madrid enter the new year as European champions, Copa del Rey holders and Club World Cup winners in the midst of a 22-game win streak in competitive matches.
