team by churning out impressive displays in the international friendlies
billed for the United Arab Emirates.Daniel Amokachi’s men will take the Elephants on January 11 before taking on the Falcons of Jediane eight days later.
The 18-year-old midfield maestro said it was a rare opportunity getting a national team invite and will make best use of it as such comes once in a lifetime.
"The training has been tough but I’m enjoying every bit of it. It is a great privilege been selected to fight for a national team shirt and I assure you, I will make it count should if I make the final cut,” Ammeh told Goal.
"This is my first time in the Super Eagles and it has been a very wonderful experience. I’m not under any pressure because I just here to enjoy myself and play good football
"Opportunities like this come once in a lifetime and I can tell you that I’m doing all it takes to prove a point about my ability to the national team coaches so as to seal a place in the senior national team.”
Commenting on the games billed for Abu Dhabi, Ammeh said the Super Eagles will put up a great show to confirm Nigeria’s tag as the best in Africa.
"The Ivoriens are no doubt a strong force to be reckoned with in African football. Though, we will be approaching them with respect but that won’t stop us from playing the best of football.
"We’re not scared of them and our coaches have made it clear to us to go all out to prove a point. The players are ready and the spirit in camp is very high. We will surely come out on top and won’t disappoint Nigerians,” he concluded.
Nigeria will depart with 19 players for the Asian country on January 8, 2015.
