The coach feels that the striker could go back on his
recent comments in which he suggested he would not extend his contract
in Turin beyond next summer
The striker, 30, signed for the Turin club while Antonio Conte was in charge at the start of the 2013-14 season and his deal in Italy runs for another 18 months.
When asked recently about his plans beyond next summer, the ex-Manchester City and Manchester United forward was up front that he would like to return to his native Argentina in the not-too-distant future.
However, Allegri suggested that Tevez could have a change of heart in the coming months and has no doubt that the Argentina international's motivation to succeed will not falter irrespective of his desire to leave in 2016.
"There is still one and a half years left to go," he told reporters on Monday. "Maybe he can change his mind.
"We’re all professional and everybody can plan his career and his life the way they want. I have no doubt that Carlos will be professional until the end."
Juve resume their Serie A campaign by hosting Roberto Mancini's Inter on Tuesday and Allegri believes that the most focused team following the winter break will emerge victorious in Turin.
"The first game of the New Year is always difficult, it’s a little bit like the very first game of the season," the former AC Milan coach added.
"It will be won by the most concentrated team, that’s important to face it with the best possible attitude."
