‘Dani Alves would fit right in at Manchester United’ claims Redknapp
Ex-Liverpool midfielder reckons Premier League big guns should sign him as soon as possible
Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp claims Barcelona right-back Dani Alves would be a fantastic signing for Manchester United.
Redknapp, now a pundit for Sky Sports, reckons the Red Devils, along with Arsenal and Chelsea, should make plans to sign Alves immediately.
He told the Daily Mail: “Barcelona’s Alves isn’t the force he used to be, but at 31, he isn’t washed up yet. I expect English clubs to push hard,” Redknapp told The Daily Mail.
Alves’ contract at the Nou Camp is up at the end of this season, and he is free to speak with foreign clubs over a move.
Reports in Spain suggest he is also unhappy at Barcelona, and Redknapp reckons he would seamlessly fit into the system United boss Louis Van Gaal is employing at the club.
