The Ligue 1 club have submitted a loan offer for the
21-year-old and want a response by Wednesday, though Arsene Wenger wants
the French starlet to stay in England
The France Under-21 international has been used sparingly this season, though he did net against Borussia Dortmund, and has fallen further down the pecking order following Olivier Giroud's return from injury.
Wenger is open to the former Auxerre forward going out on loan in January to gain first-team experience, though will have to decide quickly if he is to return to Ligue 1.
"Sanogo wants to come on loan to Bordeaux, and he has told his manager Arsene Wenger that," president Jean-Louis Triaud told Gold FM.
"We are working on bringing Sanogo to Bordeaux. We are going all in on this target. We have asked Arsenal to give us an answer on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest."
Wenger looks set to allow Sanogo to leave north London this month, though admits his ideal choice for a loan destination would be another Premier League club.
"It's a possibility," said the Frenchman when asked about a possible loan move for his young compatriot after Sunday's 2-0 FA Cup win over Hull City.
"I would prefer him to go to a Premier League club. He is a goal scorer, he's not frightened and a guy who is naturally aggressive."
