Girl caught with bombs in secondary school


The suspect, identified simply as Blessing, was found with the explosive which she reportedly hid inside some “garri.”

A female student in Taraba State has been arrested by the police after being caught with two grenades.
The suspect, identified simply as Blessing, was found with the explosive which she reportedly hid inside some “garri.”
Blessing, an SS1 student of the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo, was arrested by security guards at the school who allegedly found the devices in her possession.
She was reportedly arrested alongside her father, who is said to be a retired Police Inspector from Numan in Adamawa State.
The police were also called in and men of the bomb disposal unit defused the bombs.
The incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer for the state, Joseph Kwaji, who stated that both the girl and her father had been detained, while investigation were still ongoing into the matter
