This news is NOT going to help shut them up.
The University of British Columbia Okanagan in Canada is now offering sociology students the opportunity to do a course in Cristiano Ronaldo.
Associate Professor Luis Aguiar is the brains behind this masterplan. He offers his justification in this video, saying of the world's best player:
"What makes him special is that he has visibility beyond the football world. He has cultural appeal, he has sex appeal, he has influence in cultural looks and he takes very good care of himself."
Hmm… sounds like a big Ronaldo fan to us. He goes on to claim he had the idea for the course when he watched Ronnie take Portugal to the World Cup virtually single-handed, during the World Cup play-off victory over Zlatan's Sweden side.
He also gives himself away a little with this quote:
"I don't know if Ronaldo has heard about the course - I can't imagine he hasn't. I'd love to have Ronald Skype-ing to the class. I think that would be awesome."
So, a proper course or a chance for the professor to possibly meet his hero? We'll let you decide - after we take a look at some of the modules we assume are included:
